What's the first thing you need when you arrive at a bicycle event? Your Canopy!
With the SPAREA Canopy Carrier your canopy is easy to access when its the first thing you need and the last thing you pack up. No longer do you have to unload your bikes first in order to open the hatch and dig to get to your canopy. With the SPAREA Canopy Carrier it is right at your access.
How do we do it?
The Thule T2 Classic 2-Bike Rack has the capability to add-on another 2-bike rack section. Making it a 4-bike rack with a maximum cargo weight capacity of 160 lbs. In situations where we didn't need to add 2 more bikes we wanted to be able to use this add-on connection to our benefit. The result after attending many cycling events was an easier way to set up and break down our tent area. And we wanted to share it with you to make your life easier too!
The Canopy Carrier simply slides into the 2" tubing of the Thule T2 Classic and utilizes the same installation method as the Thule 2-bike addition. It installs with just 2 hex bolts making it easy to remove when not needed. The powder coated steel backbone and crossbar, along with the aluminum platforms, combine to create a very strong yet light weight design that is easy to install, remove and store.
It's so versatile we even use it to haul our SPAREA Bicycle Event Rack along with our canopy! Our Bike Rack is the 2nd thing we need after setting up our canopy. So, why not put it where we can get to it easily also.
We have also used it when going on vacation. We take our bikes and canopy to all kinds of places and we have found that it sure is nice to have easy access to that heavy canopy. Not to mention that extra space inside the vehicle!

Weight Capacity: The Cargo Carrier is rated at 120 lbs. However, it can haul more weight than the Thule T2 Classic 2-Bike Rack can handle. The T2 has a maximum payload capacity of 160 lbs. Example : If the 2 bikes being hauled by the T2 weigh 30 lbs. each then to keep from over loading the T2 the payload on the Cargo Carrier must not exceed 100 lbs. If you bikes are heavier the weight must decrease on the Cargo Carrier. If your bikes are lighter more weight can be added to the Cargo Carrier. Refer to the Thule T2 Classic Instruction Manual for detailed instructions.
