The Extreme Duty SPAREA Bicycle Event Rack was created for those of us that need a robust event rack for heavy bikes. With the ever increasing popularity of eBikes we wanted to offer an event rack with a larger weight capacity, but still be light-weight and have the ability to fold down into a small package that fits into most mid-sized and compact vehicles.

While most event stands fold down they are still longer than many vehicles can easily transport. The Extreme Duty SPAREA Event Bike Rack folds down into a package that is only 48" long and, being completely manufactured of aluminum, it weighs less than 20 lbs.

It deploys in about 1 minute with no tools needed and holds 7 bikes comfortably. Or a total maximum weight capacity of 300 lbs. Dimensions in its deployed position are approximately 45" Tall, 96" Long and 36" across the base. Approximate dimensions when collapsed and in its storage bag are 48" long x 6" wide x 6" long.

Leg Extensions are an available option to increase the deployed height by 6" for those riders with larger frames that have a taller seat height. Add leg extensions here

An over-sized storage bag is available for the SPAREA Bicycle Event Rack. With double carry handles and large 51" Long x 8" Wide x 8" High size, the bag makes transporting up to two SPAREA Bicycle Event Racks simultaneously a breeze. Add a storage bag here

The Story of how the SPAREA Bicycle Event Rack came to be:

I originally built the first one for the Surf City Swimmers (OWS/Paddle) Team that I regularly attend as a safety paddler. They were wanting to do a "Micro Tri" as preparation for an upcoming race. So, I looked around my shop and found enough material to whip the first one up. I though it might help if we had an event rack to make the practice as realistic as the event would be.

I intentionally made the SPAREA Bicycle Event Rack fold down to 48" long as none of our vehicles would easily transport anything longer. I drive a 4 door Ford Explorer truck and my wife drives a Jeep Wrangler. The event rack that I have wanted for years folds down and is still longer than 60" (5 feet). I can fit it in my truck but it sticks out the back of the bed.

Well..... a few weeks later I attended the B.R.A.G. Spring Tune up and I decided to take it with me. We had a pretty large group that would be camping and I thought it might come in handy. To my surprise not only did our group enjoy using it, but several passers-by stopped to chat about it. So, I came back to the shop and decided to really dig deeper into this to see if I could provide something different from what the competition provides.

The highlights of the SPAREA Extreme Duty Bicycle Event Rack include:

- All aluminum construction is light-weight at only 17 lbs.

- Also available in our Standard Duty

- Collapsed and strapped together it fits in a 48"L x 6" x 6" box

- Straps together for easy transport. No bag needed, but we provide the option for one.

- Offered in custom colors including black

- Leg extensions are an option for riders with taller bikes

- Maximum payload of 300 lbs.

- Accommodates about 7 bikes depending on handlebar width and bike size.

- Using lock nuts and wear washers at all moving joints allows tension adjustability through the lifetime of the rack.

- Utilizing locking nuts on all hardware also ensures none of the hardware backs out and gets lost.
